No, we are building in public! We plan to begin alpha testing in Q1 2025.
We have completed the matchmaking system, the deck builder, the in store shop and we've begun work on gameplay. We have completed most of the laborious gameplay work and we are currently working on card actions. We have 209 cards in our initial base set "Mars Armistice" so our primary time consumer right now is coding actions for these cards.
Farcell will have several mechanics that differentiate it from the rest of the TCG space. We will include a card scrapping mechanic that allows you to scrap any card for a special scrap currency. That currency can be used to spin a slot style wheel that rewards you with a random card from a set you choose, such as "Mars Armistice" our inaugural set.
We also feel that most TCG's are not truly collectible as you cannot sell and trade the cards you've won by playing Farcell or purchased from the in game shop. We will have a full marketplace system for users to buy, sell and trade their cards and in game rewards in exchange for Farcoin, the in game currency of Farcell.
In addition we play to be a community driven game development company that listens to our players, so we will be monitoring community feedback during alpha testing in order to make the game exactly what the community wants.
Our inaugural set, "Mars Armistice" will contain 209 cards of varying rarity. Cards are broken up currently into War cards, Construction cards, Combat cards and Specialization cards, but more types of cards will be added in the future as the game grows.
We intend to follow up with a second set, "Europa Sanctum" after the game launches in 2025.
We set out to create a game that has the approachability of Pokemon, aspects of strategy you'd find in games like Magic the Gathering or Hearthstone, and a twist of our own to make gameplay fast paced, fun and strategic. Our attack system is one of a kind, delivering damage first to your enemies active War card, then to a random bench slot (by dice roll) and finally to the opponent's outpost. Take out your opponent's outpost to win!

Farcell is primarily a digital game, but we're excited to announce plans for a Kickstarter campaign between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025. Through this campaign, we'll offer printed blister packs, display crates, and starter decks. Once the Kickstarter is funded, we'll evaluate the demand to decide if ongoing print production is feasible. While we'd love to keep Farcell in print beyond the campaign, it’s a costly undertaking, and your support on Kickstarter will be crucial in determining the future of printed versions. Stay tuned for updates on how you can back the game!
